Welcome to the new season of the Fantasy Formula 1 league; an opportunity for you to manage your own F1 dream team and compete against friends and family.

This year sees a slight shake-up to the scoring system, to try and keep things a little more competitive throughout the entire season.

To enter you must choose 3 drivers and 2 constructors, not exceeding your budget of £75m. Points will be scored throughout the season, according to the scoring system outlined below.

Points system:
Points are awarded according to the official FIA results for each race. You will score (and lose) points for each driver, and the highest placed car for each constructor.

Qualifying points:
1st – 10 points
2nd – 9 points
3rd – 8 points
4th – 7 points
5th – 6 points
6 – 5 points
7 – 4 points
8 – 3 points
9 – 2 points
10 – 1 point

Race points:
1st – 25 points
2nd – 18 points
3rd – 15 points
4th – 12 points
5th – 10 points
6 – 8 points
7 – 6 points
8 – 4 points
9 – 2 points
10 – 1 point

Budget bonus: for every £1m you spend less than your £75m budget you will be awarded 1 bonus point (up to a maximum of 10) for every race of the season.

Race completion bonus: each classified finisher (completing 90%+ race distance) will score 3 points; every finisher completing between 50-90% race distance will score 1 point.

Grid-change points: one point for every place made up or lost from grid position (maximum 10).

Fastest race lap: 5 points

To register your team, send an email with the names of your chosen 3 drivers and 2 manufacturers, together with your team name, to mail[at]andy-moore.co.uk, to be received no later than 8pm on Thursday 11 March 2010, when registration will close and no further entries will be accepted.

    Hmmm, interesting. Sauber are not confirmed constructors for the 2010 season yet.

    Will be keeping an eye on this one though, and hopefully post updates as soon as I know anything. So, Peter, if you really want Sauber, you might need to wait a little longer. Sorry. :)

    Dont want sauber…just thought they were playing this year!! :-D Looks like USF1 are out altogether…yippee.
